WorldSound Produces Concert in Guangzhou, China

On June 15th, Amy Hanaiali'i Gilliom, the Polynesian Cultural Center and Grammy winning Slack-Key artist, Bryan Kessler, performed as part of another historical event in Guangzhou, China. The amazing concert involved the collaboration of over 300 Chinese and Hawaiian Performers on stage at one time. WorldSound produced the massive show at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall to commemorate the 20 year sister city/state relationship between Hawaii and the Guangdong Province. This event was attended by more than 3,000 invited guests including the Major and Vice-Major of Guangdong and Guangzhou, in addition to Hawaii�s Governor, Linda Lingle, and a delegation of high-level officials from the State of Hawaii.
The concert was taped by Guangdong Television, the 3rd largest broadcaster in China, and is set to be aired on primetime television throughout China. This show was also filmed for the upcoming DVD release from Na Pali Films in conjunction with Hawaii�s Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism, and Guangdong Television. This will be the first cooperation of its kind for Hawaii and China.
