It's unanimous, Na Leo's new CD "E Hula Mai Kakou" has been picked as one of the top Hawaiian CD's of the year by both the Honolulu Star Bulletin and the Honolulu Advertiser. Both major daily papers in Hawaii today announced their picks for best CD's of 2008 and have unanimously included "E Hula Mai Kakou" as a winner!
Respected Star Bulletin entertainment writer John Berger picked Na Leo as a top choice of 2008 and said:"Hula Mai Kakou" Na Leo (One Hawaii): "Do The Hula" sets the mood as Na Leo delivers another collection of local classics arranged for their unmistakable three-part harmonies. Each of the trio takes the lead on a song or two before the final number, "Pupu Hinuhinu," which brings them together again for those gorgeous harmonies.
Long time Honolulu Advertiser music critic Wayne Harada picked Na Leo as one of his top five picks of the year and said: "E Hula Mai Kakou," by Na Leo. "Nalani Choy, Lehua Kalima Heine and Angela Morales Na Leo continue to be masters of their craft. ... For listening or for hula-ing, this one's a darling from the sweethearts of song."
